Many of you know me and are familiar with my adventures. But for those who'd like a quick primer, read on...

This site, WillPollock.com, is the reimaging of LighthouseGL.com, my first site when I was just out of grad school. Tools of the trade have changed quite a bit since then. LighthouseGL was a combination blog-photo-resume site that had too many uses. Now, my "slice" of cyberspace is broken up into multiple (and maybe more convenient) parts. They are:

  1. WillPollock.com: Personal blog and photo postings
  2. StoneFour.com: Writer, photographer, designer
  3. Ascribe.net: Rantings, reviews, activism (coming soon)
As a born-and-bred "KOM" (Kid of Manhattan), I moved to Atlanta after 20+ years as a New Yorker and the ATL is where I call home.

In 1995 I landed a gig as associate editor at a national retail real estate trade magazine, and I realized soon afterward that I had found "the hook" industry in which I was supposed to be. After a number of jobs in real estate-related publishing and communications, in 2001 I earned my Master's in Journalism from The Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern and am a member of Kappa Tau Alpha, journalism's national honors society.

Big thanks to Rob O'Connor who continues to be my mentor, partner in crime and longtime friend. And to my late grandfather, William S. Weedon, whom I hope is nodding with cerebral approval wherever he is.
